Hey Sis, 

My name is Mariah. I pursued a BA in Film and Media Studies at the University of Oklahoma.  I currently work in reality television production and aspire to work for a major network as an entertainment news host. As a suicide attempt survivor, I  advocate for mental health and created #LiftUpYourSister, a social campaign to provide women with a support group and encouraging resources that aim to restore hope. As someone who has personally been through the darkest and ugliest of places, I know first hand how heavy some of life's burdens can be. #LUYS is designed to help carry some of that weight and bring you support and security when you need it. 

From early ages we as young girls learn to be competitive with one another. We each have been on the receiving end of unkindness, rumors, drama, and judgement. 

The truth is,  we each crave that sense of community with each other. To know that  we can rely on and trust each other. #LiftUpYourSister provides a place for women who are in search of this.  As we embark on a path to successful futures, we must come together to create a positive environment of friendship, support & self-love; a place where women find strength in fighting for each other instead of against.
